8.1.2 消除危险源和降低职业健康安全风险
组织应通过采用下列控制层级，建立、实施和保持用于消除危险源和降低职业健康安全风险的过程：
- 消除危险源；
- 用危险性低的过程、操作、材料或设备替代；
- 采用工程控制和重新组织工作；
- 采用管理控制，包括培训；
- 使用适当的个体防护装备。 注：在许多国家，法律法规要求和其他要求包括了组织无偿为工作人员提供个体防护装备（PPE）的要求。
8.1.2 Eliminating hazards and reducing OH&S risks
The organization shall establish, implement and maintain a process(es) for the elimination of hazards and reduction of OH&S risks using the following hierarchy of controls:
- eliminate the hazard;
- substitute with less hazardous processes, operations, materials or equipment;
- use engineering controls and reorganization of work;
- use administrative controls, including training;
- use adequate personal protective equipment. NOTE In many countries, legal requirements and other requirements include the requirement that personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided at no cost to workers.
